antiche mura - one-brick walls

One-brick walls in Pica "Antiche Mura" aged, hand moulded facing Bricks, in variable sizes of whole, half, and quarter bricks, mixed in the colours Antique Rose, Pink Sand-Faced Yellow, Red, and Dark Brown.

Laying will take place, after the bricks have been wetted in accordance with the Director of Works, using composition mortar made with 5 parts river sand (grain size 0.3), 1 part hydraulic lime, ¾ 325 Portland cement and ¾ lime putty.

The work will include grouting, in accordance with the indications and profiles specified by the Director of Works and surface cleaning of mortar residues, even if a solution of water and hydrochloric acid is required.

The firm will also be required to execute sample facing work for the joint approval of the designer and the Director of Works with regard to the correct mixing of colours and sizes.

Work will also include the installation and dismantling of any provisional scaffolding as well as the formation of openings for doors and windows, the measurement of which will be performed considering them as full brickwork for openings up to 3 sq m.

The whole will be completed following good working practices.
