roof tiles

Supply and installation of Pica extruded concave roof tiles in the colour Natural Red (
Antique Rose, Antica Tuscania), complete with quality certification and technical approval, laid with good working practices; in other words, perfectly aligned horizontally and vertically and overlapping on the relevant ribs.
The tiles will be laid on a structure of fir wood battens (4 x 4 cm section) laid parallel to the eaves and spaced at 70 cm, as well as lengthways battens (4 x 6 cm section) laid perpendicularly to the other battens with a gauge of 13 cm.
The vertical battens will be fixed to the structure below using metal nails of suitable length, when the underlying structure is in wood or other material that is easily nailed, or fixed to the structure using a nail gun when the underlying structure is in concrete; in other words, they will be fixed with at least two dabs of mortar when the underlying structure is formed by large perforated blocks or other material that cannot be nailed.
The other battens will be fixed simply by nailing them at every point where they cross the vertical battens.
Ridge tiles and the relevant special pieces will be installed along the ridge and hips.
The empty spaces between the ridge and the tiles will be properly rendered with composition mortar.
The completed roof covering will be measured according to the real geometrical dimensions used on site, from the centre of the ridge to the outer projecting part of the eaves course.
